Navigating the Roller Coaster From Calm to Stressed
Have you ever had one of those moments where everything seems fine... but one minute later you are stressed to the max?
Me too.... that happened to me when I was trying to finalize signing up TWO clients mere HOURS before I had to leave for the airport to fly to South Africa last year.
Embracing Overwhelm and Moving Forward
I felt overwhelmed, exhausted and out of control. Was I going to get everything done in time and make my flight? I became so stressed!
But these things happen.
If running a business was easy, everyone would be doing it.
The most important thing is to learn how to deal with these feelings when they arise.
My Stress Relief Strategies
I thought I would take a moment and share what I do to relieve stress, in case it is helpful for you as well!
1. Walk my dogs. The happiness that exudes from Molly, Maggie, and Zoe is contagious! Plus, it gets my endorphins up and relieves my stress.
2. I sit outside and ground myself in nature.
3. I also love to volunteer as it puts a different perspective on life and what I'm currently going through that relieves stress and the pressure I put on myself.
4. Delegate! When you don't have time for the above, you have to let go and let your team handle some things. I know I'm grateful for my team!
